I dont think you are being racist at all, I am not a racist, in fact I love their language and their food....but damn they dont control their children! I do my laundry at the laundrymat locally and 9 out of 10 times if the latinos come they come with a herd and the mother is the only adult and the eldest children are in charge of the younger children! Some of them are well behaved but the majority of them run wild! Drives me nuts!

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that there is an assumption being made that Latinos have large families. If that is the assumption being made (and I am not suggesting it should be) then there is no need to specify Latino because "large family" has already been categorized. If not, and the main purpose of this post is to complain about reverse racism, then perhaps it is irrelevant that large families are involved. I will agree, however, because I have lived in a similar situation, that it does seem that adults without children or those adults that do not enjoy the sounds of children have fewer or lesser rights when it comes to housing. I decided to move out of the apartment complex that sounds similar to yours, but I was lucky to have a 30 day lease. I suggest calling the police and the landlord. Become a pain. They'll either let you out of your lease or control the kids.

I think they are pointing out what would usually be called "reverse racism" which is just the same. Or is this a place racism ONLY counts if you arent the majority? If it doesnt work both ways...it will never end. And yes it is unfair. Unfortunately the only way to avoid these type situations usually is getting a house,which isnt always an option. Scouting out the place where you want to live for a bit is also a good idea...just dont get mistaken for stalking!

I'm sorry, I am uncomfortable with the direction this is going in, I can't accept racism in any form and your post could be taken that way. (I see your other post focuses on the number of kids and not their nationality). From the list I guessed your post was called "Avoid Apartments in which the Manager has a large. . . cross in the window!" ha ha. Good move. My manager has 4+ kids. She's only chummy to Latino tenants. The rest, she treats like shit. I live in an apt in Palms, since Novemver 2004. Today I told the monsters to please stop banging my door. The manager (mommy) got pissed at me. Lesson learned: Do not live in an apt in which the manager lives in the complex and ALSO has a large Latino family. Yes, I believe that we can all get along but kids r sensitive issues and the Latina manager will ALWAYS side with her monstrous kids. Her hellions shriek all the fucking time and I can't do shit. Why doesn't the Fair Housing Act help out the childfree?
