I just want to say that one thing religious people and those with kids have in common is the comfort that they will live on in some form. Either through the eternal afterlife or by keeping their lineage going on this earth, they don't have to deal with the disturbing concept of dying out, not existing anymore, being forgotten, what was the point, etc. There are other ways you can live on and make a positive difference in the world: write, make art or music, make a difference in people's lives, make friends, volunteer and give to charity, or just get over yourself, enjoy life while you've got it, and accept oblivion!
